Resolution Pinot NOir 2007 to present

Three clones of Pinot Noir vines were planted at Resolution Vineyard in 2003 with the first vintage produced in 2007.  The grapes are hand picked by friends and family of Resolution Vineyard and transported to Frogmore Creek in the Coal River Valley for making.  The 1 hectare vineyard produces between 1-3 tonnes of grapes each year, depending on the growing conditions of the season.

Resolution first displayed its wine, the 2008 Pinot Noir at the Royal Hobart International Wine Show in 2009.  This Show is the premiere Pinot Noir wine show in Australia.  2008 performed exceptionally well being awarded a Bronze medal.  A secret gem had now been unleashed. SOLD OUT

2016- Peter and his family first tasted this vintage straight from the barrel at Christmas and agreed this is a wine with great potential.  A statement now proven with a Bronze medal. A fine young wine, ready to enjoy from the moment it was bottled.  Strong soft plum and cherry fruits with good length. Royal Hobart International Wine Show 2018 & 2019 Tasmanian Wine Show - BRONZE Medal

2018- The newly release 2018 Pinot Noir is already being enjoyed and well received. Winsor Dobbin wrote on his website: "This is a sturdy example of Tasmanian Pinot with savoury and sour cherry flavours and savoury overtones with plenty of length.  There is a lot of palate interest here and this one should cellar well."

* Tasmanian Wine Show 2020 - BRONZE Medal

2019- No Vintage due to Smoke Taint from bush fires in southern Tasmania over the 2019 summer.

2020 - Vivid ruby red, aromatic with bold red cherry, blueberry, wet stone and wafts of fennel seed and cardamon.  Hint of charcuterie as well. Vivacious and very tasty in the mouth. Medium weight but with delicious persistence of pristine fruit flavours, matched with a littlealmond/vanilla from the oak and finished with the finest of tannins. This gental persistnece is one of the wine's most admirable feat ures. (Michele, The Pinot Shop, Launceston).

2021- A small harvest in 2021 producing .098t. Received well by attendees over the weekend of the Southern Open Vineyards event in March 2022.  Described by Winsor Dobin: This is an outstanding vintage that has lovely medium-bodied pinosity and is enjoyable in its youth while offering good cellaring prospects for a decade. Think dark cherry and berry notes and lovely balance at 13% alcohol.

2022- Fingers Crossed this will be ready for the Southern Open Vineyard Weekend in March 2023............
